Fate/Grand Order is a free-to-play tactical RPG mobile game which is developed by Delightworks and published by Aniplex, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment Japan. The game is based on the Japanese anime and video game series Fate/stay night. The game was first launched in Japan on 29th July 2015 for Android and on 12th August 2015 for iOS. After the popularity of the game in Japan, the company released the English version of the game in the United States and Canada on 25th June 2017. In 2018, the Arcade version of the game was released by SEGA which was named Fate/Grand Order Arcade.
Fate/Grand Order is quite interesting and fun to play with the plot set in 2015. The story starts from the Chaldea Security Organization Summit where it was revealed that the entire human race is quite in a danger due to an irregularity that occurred in late 2004 in Fuyuki, Japan. To stop this disaster, the player must time travel to the point when this catastrophe started. The player will have a team of elite agents that will help in stopping the time at the point of origination of this disaster.
Fate/Grand Order Gameplay
Fate/Grand Order is a turn-based tactical role-playing game (RPG) where you will take the role of a “Master” that will command the set of individuals. These individuals will be your “Servants” who basically are historical and mythological figures from different cultures. You will be given a team of 6 servants. 3 active and 3 reserve members in each battle. Each servant has 5 cards that have unique qualities and skills which you can use in the battle.
These cards have three types, Buster, Arts, and Quick. The buster is used for the heavy attack, the Arts is used for the medium attack that helps in charging the gauge for Servant's "Noble Phantasm". The Quick card type is used for the light attack that generates critical stars which can help you in getting some critical hits in the next turn. The Master also has a special set of skills and abilities that you can use in the battle. You will fight different adversaries during the whole trip and by using the servant’s unique skills and strengths you can win the battles.
The servants and other things can be acquired through gacha mechanics where you spend real money to buy items in the game or by earning the in-game currency which you can only earn by playing the game. Through these in-app purchases, you can gain an advantage and win some battles in this turn-based tactical role-playing game.
In some battles, you may need these upgrades because without them you may not be able to win some battles. If you don’t want to spend the real money then you may have to grind out a lot in the game and it will take time for you to defeat all the adversaries in the game.
