Clearing WhatsApp data will fix this problem on all devices. We do not recommend this method until you have a backup of your WhatsApp data. This method will remove WhatsApp data and will fix your problem.
Steps to clear WhatsApp data:
Go to settings > Apps > Installed applications > Search for WhatsApp > Select WhatsApp > Select Storage > Click on clear app data.
After doing this step, you have to re-register your number on WhatsApp again. It will solve the problem, but you will lose your WhatsApp data. If you have a backup, you can restore your data.
You can restore WhatsApp data by navigating to Settings > Chats > Chat Backup on WhatsApp.
