General Intelligence and Reasoning

Most important and prioritized form of examination as it tests your ability to pay attention and basic understanding using your intelligence and reasoning ability. Paying attention is a key part of the general intelligence and reasoning test. Practice as much as you can because it matters the most. Cognitive ability will be tested in this section of the paper. The integrated course of attention and adaptation makes it the G factor of every exam. All questions of general intelligence and reasoning are based on a verbal and mathematical series of questions. It demands working memory to repeat an ordered list of items, the ability to think smartly with a flexible view, and the ability to arrange visual interpretations of questions. The purpose of general intelligence and reasoning is to test the psychological ability to adapt and react during SSC CGL exams.

General Awareness

Attaining SSC CGL marks at its best isn't an easy task but covering subjects wisely can make it better for candidates to use general awareness as an opportunity to obtain the best. General awareness counts your presence as an information observer and storing it naturally so it can be used instinctively when needed. It covers a variety of topics like cultural, geographical, economics, social, sports, general polity, history, current affairs, and government-related information. In these topics, the timeline of incidents should be marked willfully because these questions can surprise you if you didn't prepare yourself well. Picking up notes is a useful way to get the notion of information and your ability to adapt and store it. Having a strong general awareness and knowledge is a habitual way of learning. Get familiar with regular newspaper readings, current affairs books, and online resources to stay updated with big happenings around the globe.

Quantitative Aptitude

Quantitative aptitude demands an adequate interpretation of your logical and analytical skills. This concept-based questionnaire takes smart solution methods to understand correctly. Such questions can take time to set answers if the candidate isn't prepared well and the unpleasant fact about this test is the hastier you will appear the more mentally frustrated you will be. Hardships don't get solved by excuses. The topics of quantitative aptitude consist of algebra, problems of age, area, train, average, time and work, trigonometry, speed and distance, profit and loss, number system, data interpretation and etc. All of these question types demand detailed attention and use critical thinking, analyzing the query and discussing the answers on required formulas. In SSC CGL, quantitative aptitude tests can change the whole process of attempting and completing in time. To attempt successfully, a candidate needs to understand the nature of this segment which is to use logical and analytical skills, other than that questions are not tough to follow up but focusing on methods should be a priority.

English Comprehension

One of the most defining segments of every competitive exam because fluency in English can solve easy understanding of other segments. It is true that English or competitive exams like SSC CGL require you to be prepared and followed alongside some set of rules but natural adaptability can help you to counter all the brain-scratching components of English comprehension. The test of verbal ability consists of grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and sentence arrangement. These chapters have subsets, every candidate is familiar with the pattern of exam paper but requires detailed attention and an intermediate level of knowledge to frame these questions. Candidates tend to lose focus on English mostly because they treat it as easy to do but English comprehension is deceptive in nature, it may look like you may have chosen the right answer but reality turns out to be contrary.

All four categories have a generalized structure of question assessment. Every category has 25 questions, making it a total of 100 questions to be successfully attempted in a given 60 minutes.
